About Us

How it began...

Little Monkey Photography is the brainchild of Ryan Sander who is a father, husband, teacher and aspiring professional photographer.  Having grown up with a love of all things old and nostalgic, photography was the perfect medium to flex his artistic muscles.  Named after his son Eoghan's nickname and born of a desire to share his art and services with those around him, Little Monkey Photography aims to showcase a portfolio of work as well as provide a list of services for hire.

Having been enamored with cameras and photography since finding my parents old and broken Yashica SLR film camera as a young and curious toddler, the art of freezing beautiful, powerful and expressive moments in time has always been of immense joy to me.  I can still remember the cracked brown leather case that my parents stored their broken camera in and taking it out to pretend at being a professional photographer.  That hobby has matured over the years and after completing a few photo shoots for my family as well as some friends I decided it was time to see if others might like my vision for capturing memories. 

What We Can Do

There are so many different types of photography services and just because it's not listed here doesn't mean that we can't provide it. We are a new business and are honing our craft.  The world of photography is an ever changing environment that requires us to keep up to date on the advancements in technology as well as innovative means of composition.  We are committed to mastering our art.  This also means that we might not have listed everything we can do or learn.  So if it's not here, just ask!

Portraits

We can provide a variety of portrait styles, from Family and Newborn sessions to Senior Portraits and Engagement sessions.  At Little Monkey Photography, we prefer, whenever possible to be outside in the beauty of natural light and pride ourselves on continuing this aesthetic to our indoor shoots.  We also understand the raw and vulnerable emotions that having your picture taken can evoke and pride ourselves on making you feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the entirety of your session. Portrait sessions are $295 and include your session and digital image files. 

Commercial Work

As a business owner it is critical to be able to show the world what it is you do for a living whether it is through social media or your own webpage.  Your craft is more than a hobby, it's your livelihood.  Little Monkey Photography can create beautiful lasting images of you and the dedication you have to your craft so you will can show to the world the kind of time and determination you put into your work.  Commercial work will vary from job to job and so prices are decided on an individual basis.  Base rate is $100 for a 2 hour session.

Where Are We?

We are based out of Greenfield, MA in the northern part of the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts.  Surrounded by beautiful pastoral landscapes and the dramatic foothills of the Berkshires and Green Mountains.
